Features & Capabilities

Leverage GPU Capabilities with a deep learning computer from OnLogic

A deep learning computer from OnLogic can be configured with a range of powerful processors, latest generation graphics cards and specialized expansion modules to help power your edge, IoT and fog computing innovations. Our vision, graphics and AI accelerators such as GPUs are protected from environmental hazards by our Hardshell™ Fanless Technology.
Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), often considered to be the backbone of deep learning, allow for much faster processing of large datasets. They support computer vision algorithms based on neural networks to enable real time image processing. GPUs are frequently needed for machine vision, learning, and AI applications that require additional horsepower over and above the CPU. Since these AI accelerators can use a lot of power and can generate a lot of heat, our engineering team takes a thoughtful and innovative approach to the design of our computers for deep learning.
Vision Processing Units (VPUs) are co-processors, similar but different to a GPU. They reduce the load on the CPU by assigning tasks to an application-specific co-processor for object recognition and machine learning functions. VPUs use less heat and power than a GPU and easily integrate into smaller and more power efficient systems. Looking for a solution with VPU? Contact our sales team for options.

Deep learning for factory automation

Applications for manufacturing automation often leverage our systems with VPUs or GPUs to run machine vision or learning frameworks closer to the edge. For example, a rugged computer to power machine vision for quality assurance (QA) could be installed near an assembly line. This location and its proximity to vibration, high temps, airborne debris, and/or other hazards would be and unthinkable operating environment for a commercial off-the-shelf computer. OnLogic rugged computers are built to survive in extreme environments and can power automated, repeatable quality control processes. Not only are these machine vision solutions incredibly accurate, they can save time, cut costs, increase throughput, and automatically document quality. Check out our customer story with Artemis Vision to see how they leverage Karbon 700-x2 for their QA solution.

"The quality and reliability we help our clients deliver needs to be backed by dependable system components. That is why we turned to OnLogic to provide us with the first-class hardware they're known for. In our solutions, the Karbon 700 does it all!"
- Reed Schneider, Machine Vision Engineer at Artemis Vision

Integrate your hardware nearly anywhere - from a server room rack to the rugged edge

Since no two projects are alike, we offer multiple form factors to enable operations in nearly any location. Whether rack mounted in a server room or on the floor of a manufacturing plant, we have a system to meet your needs.
Our rackmount deep learning computers offer a standardized form factor for integration into server rooms. Options are available from 1U to 4U that mount easily into standard racks. In addition, they offer plenty of room for multiple GPUs.
OnLogic rugged computers can handle deep learning algorithms even in challenging environments. Need it to operate at an extreme temperature? We offer wide temperature operating ranges. Dusty environment? We offer both actively cooled and fanless systems to avoid the ingress of dust and debris. Need to apply deep learning on a moving vehicle? We have rugged systems that we test to industry standards for shock and vibration tolerance.
