Developing and acting on initiatives for sustainable technology solutions is a team effort. At OnLogic, the core concepts around sustainability are woven into everything we do, but we’re always on the lookout for ways we can do more. With that in mind, we’re excited to partner with the University of Vermont Sustainable Innovation (SIMBA) program to advance our commitment to sustainability

The SIMBA Program is an accelerated masters of business administration program where students learn directly from business leaders in order to pursue initiatives that aid in helping make business a force for good.

Recently, the OnLogic Sustainability Team pitched a project to the UVM Sustainable Innovation Masters of Business Administration (SIMBA) students to work on for their practicum project. The SIMBA practicum project is a full-time, immersive experiential engagement with organizations that is of mutual value to both the students and the host organization. These projects are intended to give momentum to an important business initiative that the host organization would like to continue beyond the practicum project time frame.

SIMBA students selected OnLogic’s project to work on for their practicum project in 2024. The working project title is Advancing Sustainable Solutions – Inward and Outward. Broadly, the SIMBA students will contribute to the thoughtful implementation of sustainability at OnLogic in a strategic way that aligns with OnLogic’s core competencies as a hardware manufacturer helping to support emerging technologies.

The next couple of months will be spent refining the project scope and deliverables, with work to begin in May and culminate at the end of July 2024. We’re excited to see what this passionate group of professionals and students can accomplish and look forward to sharing more as the project progresses.
