The Intel Atom x6000e processors have been specifically designed for IoT applications, making them a perfect complement to OnLogic's passively cooled, rugged chassis design. Powered by a Dual-Core Intel Atom x6211E, or Quad-Core x6425E processor, Karbon 430 offers a unique combination of features, power and connectivity. The integrated Intel® Programmable Services Engine (Intel® PSE) enables support for a host of connectivity and power management functions, including CAN bus and automotive power control for in-vehicle applications. All of this makes Karbon 430 an ideal rugged Industrial IoT gateway, edge device, embedded controller or the backbone for medical, energy management or industrial control applications.
The Karbon 430 was designed to be installed anywhere you need ultra-reliable computing power. Sensitive internal components are protected from dust, debris, chemicals, and moisture with OnLogic's integrated Hardshell™ Fanless Technology. The Karbon 400 features an operating temperature range of -40° to 70°C, 9~48 V power input, and zero moving parts, all of which help to ensure a long system lifespan. The Karbon 430's modularity and tiny footprint make it perfect for even the most inhospitable Industrial IoT or Industry 4.0 environments. Environmental testing is in process for Medical EMC (60601-1), Rail EMC (50121), Maritime EMC (60945), Automotive E-mark, as well as IEC and MIL-STD-810 shock and vibration. All of this performance is safely delivered inside a system NRTL listed to UL/IEC 62368-1, accompanied by a CB scheme.
The Karbon 430 is designed to offer you the features and performance you need for your IoT project in a device that's easy to integrate and connect. Standard I/O includes 2x USB 3.2 & 2x USB 2.0 ports, 2x 1GbE LAN (with optional PoE), CAN bus (via 3-pin terminal block) and a DisplayPort. Onboard automotive ignition control allows you to program the on/off state of the system based on the power state of a vehicle, and optional WiFi and 4G LTE give you wireless access to your critical data from anywhere, including integrated dual SIM card slots for multi-carrier configurations. In addition, you can leverage OnLogic's unique ModBay expansion capabilities to add dual LAN, dual COM or GPIO, or leverage the K430’s additional expansion options such as dual LAN, dual COM or LAN + COM combination for a complete set of I/O options to suit your specific configuration needs. The Karbon 430's five internal expansion slots can be leveraged for additional storage, I/O or functionality including AI accelerators and GPS. Don't need the additional expansion capabilities? This system can be configured with an integrated cellular modem, pre-certified to operate on many of the world’s most popular cellular carrier networks. Our 4G capable hardware is ideal for today's mobile, edge computing and Industrial Internet of Things applications. The wireless connectivity has been tested to operate reliably in challenging Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) environments. Many of our systems also include co-location options allowing you to implement Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, in addition to cellular connectivity, at the same time. To take advantage of cellular connectivity, simply configure your system with one of our available cellular modems and then contact your carrier to activate.
