Industrial and rugged edge computer solutions by OnLogic puts processing power closer to your data sources to speed up response times and conserve network bandwidth wherever the edge of your network resides.
Industrial and rugged edge computer solutions by OnLogic puts processing power closer to your data sources to speed up response times and conserve network bandwidth wherever the edge of your network resides.
Low latency application performance and response times are vital to user experience and modern business operations. With an OnLogic edge computer, you can reduce the round trip time (and cost) of your data from source to destination by performing analysis right where your data is being created - at the edge. With the computing power of edge computers from OnLogic, real-time data processing is possible even for applications with challenging operating environments, including autonomous vehicles, industrial systems control, and interactive kiosks.

Features & Capabilities
Bring reliable processing on-site
Challenging environments, such as outdoor enclosures and factory floors, present conditions that can cause traditional computers to fail. Such failures cause downtime in operations and loss of productivity. OnLogic edge computers offer reliable and dependable operation to meet the demands of industrial edge computing.
OnLogic edge computing can also minimize workflow disruptions. Operators can be notified of events over the local network without having to depend on the cloud for data processing. These notifications can lead to faster resolution of issues, resulting in reduced downtime, scrap or rework. Machinery and sensors connected to edge computers can also continue to operate during service disruptions. In addition, data can continue to be gathered at the edge until the connection is restored.
Cloud computing is valuable for the long term storage and processing of data. However, the increasing prevalence of connected IoT devices is creating an immense amount of data. This data can quickly overtax network bandwidth and incur significant data transfer costs. Rather than exclusively relying on the cloud, OnLogic edge computers allow you to optimize data handling by putting processing and storage right where the data is being generated. Local computing performance at the edge can also translate raw data into leaner formats to minimize transfer costs.
The power and possibilities of an edge computer
Low latency application performance and response times are vital in a wide range of applications. From autonomous vehicles to heavy industrial machinery, edge computing puts you in control of your data. Take advantage of the benefits of edge computing with near real-time processing ability to react to data inputs. You can leverage software to trigger responsive machine control.
For example, autonomous vehicles can quickly avoid accidents based on visual input data processed directly by a rugged edge computer installed in the trunk of the vehicle. Alternatively, industrial automation software on an edge device can immediately modify equipment operation in the event of a catastrophic incident. These rapid computing capabilities enhance operator safety and avoid damage to valuable equipment.
Creating a connected facility doesn't have to mean ripping and replacing your existing equipment. By connecting legacy PLCs and smart sensors to an OnLogic edge computer, you’re able to transform previously disconnected machines into newly networked smart devices. One of the biggest hurdles on the path toward Digital Transformation is evolving your facility to a more intelligent version of itself with minimal disruption. Once connected, you can utilize the gathered data to predict maintenance schedules and find efficiencies in your operations. An edge PC by OnLogic is the perfect tool for the job.
