The new 850 Pro Series SSD bring all new features to Samsung's award winning line. The new V-NAND fabrication process brings higher denisty flash chips to the drives, meaning faster speeds, high capacities with no extra physical space required.
HIGH PERFORMANCE
The new 850 series brings up to 1.8x the speed of last year's model with higher performance NAND flash memory as well as the new RAPID mode. RAPID uses available system memory as a high speed cache, improving read and write performance significantly.
LOW ENERGY
Despite the performance increase, the 850 Pro uses just 3.3 watts of power during active read/write processes and uses just .4 watts (max) idle. These power saving features make it ideal for embedded systems.
RELIABILITY, GUARANTEED
The new drives also improve reliability, rated for up to 2 million hours (228 years) of power on time. The flash chips are rated for up to 150 TB of written data thanks to class leading garbage collection and TRIM support. All of this is backed up by a 10 year manufacturer's warranty.
