The Intel DC3217IYE compact multimedia barebone features Intel's D33217GKE "Golden Lake" Next Unit of Computing (NUC) form factor motherboard. The smallest series of x86 systems, the DC3217IYE features a 17-watt, 1.8 GHz Intel Core i3-3217U processor and Intel QS77 Express Chipset. The Next Unit of Computing was designed as a small footprint, energy-efficient solution and is suited to digital signage or compact, energy-efficient desktop replacement systems. The DC3217IYE offers dual HDMI ports, two USB ports, and Gb LAN, as well as a full-height mSATA/PCIe Mini Card slot for compact, solid state storage. A second, half-height PCIe Mini Card slot can be used for wireless cards.
